Joy Christmas Card

Kelly here with a Christmas card made with a simple circuit and press switch.  I cut a mask for a snowy hill from some masking paper.  I adhered the mask to the bottom of a piece of card stock then stamped and embossed the images from Flora and Fauna.  I used a glitter white snow embossing powder from Wow!.  I then ink blended two shades of blue and black distress ink for the night sky.  I spritzed the background with some Glimmer Mist and sprinkled on a bit of water which reacted with the ink to make splotches.  I originally embossed the bear in white on the card front but it was hard to tell it was a bear.  So I stamped the bear on some white card stock added a bit of color with Copic markers, fussy cut it out and adhered it over the embossed image.

I used a craft pick to poke three holes in the “Joy” Constellation.  I placed this on top of a aqua piece of cardstock and marked through the holes where to place my LED Chibitronic stickers.  I planned out my circuit on the aqua cardstock.

When the recipient pushes on the bottom of the card it completes the circuit and turns on the lights.

I used a double layer of foam tape to adhere the card front to the circuit.  I leave the backing on the foam tape around the battery to keep the copper tape from contacting the battery until it is pressed.  To finish of the card I adherred some white snow crystals from Studio Katia.

Thank you for stopping by.
