Hello crafty friends,
today I’m back with a new Chibitronics light project to share with you. At the moment I’m totally in need of baby cards, as everybody seems to be expecting. I recently ordered this cute little fairy from Clearly Besotted Stamps and I thought it would be perfect for a baby card as well.
But this time, I didn’t want to reach for the normal baby girl colors, as not everyone wants pink for their baby girl. Normally I don’t use yellow and not that much I use blonde color for hair. So this card was a total challenge for me. But I’m really happy with the result and I want to play more often with this colors. Sometimes it is a great idea to challenge yourself.
As always I’ve made a video tutorial for you guys, as I’m not that good in written english and in explaining in english. I prefer showing you while I’m crafting 😉
- Stamp the image and color it using my Copic Markers. Then I fuzzy cut the image.
- I die cut the circle on my card panel, and the “Hallo” word die from gold glitter paper, as well as the grassy border
- On a watercolor piece I created an ombre background and then stamped the “bling” image using my Versamark ink pad and used white embossing powder. The inner part of the bling i cut out using a craft knife
- Then I started creating my circuit. The battery will be behind the fairy and the LEDs will be behind the cut out parts
- Now it´s time to assemble the card. The card panel is two layers of foam pads high, so there is enough space for the battery. The grassy border two layers high as well. The fairy is three layers high, so the lights just shine when the circuit will be closed. The hallo die is glued down with one layer of foam tape. I stamped the little sentiment, and used some sequins, some glitter from Sparkle Pen over the dress, wings and the hair band for finishing touches. Now the card is all finished
