Included Projects
1. DIY “Desk Lamp with a Button” Interactive Light-Up Card
Create a charming interactive greeting card featuring a working paper desk lamp with a functional push-button switch.
2. DIY “Traffic Light” Interactive Light-Up Card
Build an interactive paper traffic light with working red, yellow and green LEDs.
Materials Included in the Start with STEAM: Launchpad LEDs Kit
- 1 x Paper Circuits Launchpad Sketchbook (1st Ed, English, Level 1)
- 5 x White Launchpad LEDs
- 5 x Color Launchpad LEDs (one each: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Rainbow Fade)
- 2 x Launchpad Batteries (safer than coin cells)
- 4 x micro-size binder clips
- 2 x sheets of yellow tape stickers (40 stickers total, 20 stickers/sheet)
- 1 x sheet Conductive Fabric Tape Strips (8 strips, 4mm X 125mm each)
- 1 x Conductive Fabric Tape Spool (less likely to come unraveled than traditional rolls)- 4mm x 10-m (32 ft)
Additional Materials Needed

- Cardstock (176 gsm)
- Tracing paper (approximately 1.5 x 3 in/ 4 x 7.5 cm)
- Double-sided foam adhesive tape (approximately 2 in / 5 cm)
- Glue
- Craft knife
- Scissors
