Halloween light up card with Chibitronics and Magengo Designs

Hi everyone, I’m so so excited to share with you today a new Halloween light up card featuring some white LED stickers a long with Magengo designs stamps.

I started to design a very simple circuit in my silhouette software to see where I exactly need my LED lights, then I sent the designed file to my silhouette portrait to cut.

Then I designed another file for the battery holder and this time I cut it 3 times and stack them all together using liquid adhesive to get a thick board with the same thickness of the battery so I can get a flat finish for my card.

Time to build our circuit, I used for this card conductive fabric tape and withe LED stickers and simply build my circuit as shown below.

After checking everything and making sure that my circuit works perfectly I started to work on the front of my card, I wanted to have a Halloween night with the torques colours so I started by placing a big circle which is cut from a piece of mylar material and stack it on the background using low tack adhesive to work as a mask for the moon.

Then I started to ink the sky with cracked pistachio, peacock feather and black soot distress oxide inks but before peeling the mask I just applied a little bit of lawn fawn yeti white ink around the moon then I peeled the mask.

To give the moon more details and dimension I used a grey Ohuhu marker to add the small details and the shadow for my moon.

Now let’s add more details to the background, I stamped a few of the tree branches from Spooky B-day stamp set using memento tuxedo black ink and then also colored them with Ohuhu black marker.

After that I embossed many spiderweb on the top of the tree branches using versamrk ink and white embossing powder.

For the grass I cut 2 pieces of a simple grass designs using my silhouette portrait from Türkises folia card stock and inked the edges with black soot distress oxide ink and embossed my sentiment on the top layer.

Finally I put my card together using double sided adhesive, liquid adhesive, foam tape and foam squares.
