Powered through an Infosys Foundation grant, geared toward bringing the Playground Opera program and Chibitronics’ circuit technologies together to support Title 1 schools in the United States, Chibitronics and Opera on Tap have combined forces to create Playground Operatronics, a music education and STEAM program for kids!
In September 2022, Playground Opera teaching artists (TAs) from around the country spent five hours working with Fayette Shaw and Jill Dawson, learning the basics of paper circuitry! In the process, the TAs helped inform the creation of several new leaf templates that will be used to introduce young learners to paper circuits, as part of their set design for one of two operas that they will be performing!
