On Sunday, 4 October, from 9:30 am-4:30 pm, Chibitronics joined other partner organizations, including Spark!Lab, the International Spy Museum, National Building Museum, KID Museum, and DC Public Library to support hands-on activities for families.

Leading the charge were two graduates of our summer Pathfinders professional development course, who brought paper-circuits to the National Children’s Museum as part of the organization’s first Tinkerfest!
Educators Ashleigh Rose and Dr. Rabiah Harris led a free mask-masking activity for families, one that integrated hands-on art with a basic introduction to circuit-building.

While attending the outdoor festivities in the Woodrow Wilson Plaza, attendees were encouraged to experiment and play, with a focus upon having a joyful learning experience!
In addition to learning how to combine a Chibitronics Launchpad Battery with a Launchpad LED, many children walked away with wearable, glowing masks they’d decorated themselves!

Special thanks to Ashleigh and Rabiah for their support!
