Beam Me Some Cake – Lighted Up Space Ship Card

Hi Everyone! Tiffany here today at the Chibitronic’s blog with a birthday card featuring the Lawn Fawn’s Beam Me Up Stamp set and coordinating dies. The space ship in this stamp set along with the gravity beam worked wonderfully with my Heartbeat effect sticker. Giving the beam a gentle pulsing light.

This is a fairly easy card to make and only uses 1 yellow LED light sticker. To create my card I first create by background by inking blending the space by using Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Seedless Preserve, & Peacock Feathers and then added stars with my white gel pen. Stamp out my images onto white card stock and color it in using copic markers.

To start on my LED circuit I cut a tiny hole on my card panel for where my light will be and then trace the hole onto my card base. Position the effect sticker, the battery placement, and my tiny break in the circuit. That tiny break will create my “On Switch” for the LED sticker.

Add my copper tape along my pre-drawn path and then all my Chibitronics element onto the card base. I also add a small piece of copper tape onto the back of my front panel. That will complete the positive circuit when I press down on it.

Placed double layers of foam tape around my card base. Release the adhesive and tape my front panel down.

Last, I adhere all my elements down along with my sentiment.

I hope you enjoy this easy Chibitronics card.
