Create A Simple Circuit Christmas Light Up Card

Hi crafty friends! Today I created a simple circuit Christmas light up card. I wanted to create this simple light up card, so you could see that you could mass produce this type of light up card. I did ink blending, one color die cutting and used one light for this design. I hope you enjoy it!

I started by inking a white piece of A2 size cardstock. My first layer is Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink (you can see that behind the star), then I came in with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink and blended over the Mermaid Lagoon, leaving a circle behind the star. Then I used Black Soot light around the outside edges. I came back with the Wilted Violet to blend the Black Soot properly. I sprayed the background with Dylusions Shimmer Spray and Distress Spray Stain.

I die cut the star from the inked background and then from white cardstock. Then the city and three wisemen from black cardstock. I added the die cut images to the bottom, the three wisemen have foam tape behind them.

I added the positive and negative line of copper tape, running from the battery to the place where the white led light is placed. (under the star).

I added 3 layers of foam tape around the outside edge of the bass and two layers of foam tape around the battery ( you don’t want you battery to slide around). I also added 3 layers of foam tape around the star opening, not over the light itself. I need to be able to inly my white star. I placed the inked background over the background ( with the light and copper tape), I added the white die cut star and some Diamond Stickles over it, to give some shimmer. I finished with a foiled sentiment popped up of foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping, have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
