Hi friends – Bri Firth here! Today I am sharing a light-up card perfect for welcoming in the new year. This interactive card features Sticker Lights and Copper Tape from Chibitronics. This card also features the One More Sleep Stamp Set from Clearly Besotted. For more details on this light up creation keep reading below!
First, I used Distress Oxide inks (Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot) to ink blend the night sky background. I also used plain water to create an ink resisting effect on the background. The town image was stamped in pigment black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used Y02 Copic marker to add color to the house windows so it looks like the lights are on in all the windows. I also used Pumice Stone Distress Ink to add some coloration to the bright moon. The fireworks were heat embossed with gold embossing powder and I used a piercing tool to create holes in the center of the fireworks for the lights to shine through and to be unobstructed.
The animals were also colored with Copic markers. I used E30’s to color the brown dog, YR10’s to color the orange cat, and W’s to color the gray cat. Finally, I used Y000 on the animals as well to create bounce light on the animals.
To embellish the card front I added gold glittery sequins and I used a gold gel pen to add the shimmering detail lines to the 2022 die cut.
