I’d like to send you hugs from an adorable bear.
When you pull the tab, the bear’s arm waving and the flower lights are on!
This is good for your Valentin’s project.
I am using an interactive die by Lawn Fawn. It has a pull tab then I combine the switch for the circuit on that tab. It works very well! I used this mechanism 3years ago, you can check it here.
You can use it for the combination of interactive motion and light in your card in many ways.
That’s so fun!
1. Supplies
・Circuit panel; 4 x 5 1/2 inch I made a vertical slit at the center; length 1.5inch starting at the point 1.75 inch from the top edge.
・Front panel; 4 x 5 1/2inch ; dry embossed and inked with green
・Heart panel; inked with pink and cut with the slit with the waving slit die. hole for the lights in a stuck-up front panel.
・Pull tab and sleeve; cut out with the waving pull tab starter set
・Card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inch fold half
・Switch parts; 0.5×3 inch
・Animating LED stickers RED Fade; Chibitronics
・Conductive fabric tape; Chibitronics
・Cell battery; CR2016 ( This number means the diameter;20mm, thickness;1.6mm)
・Bear parts; I stamped and cut out from the “snow much fun” stamp and die set. Bear’s body, arms, and heart. Then I colored them with Copic markers.
・Banner of sentiment; I cut the strips and stamp the sentiments from the “long distance hugs“
2. The Circuit
This circuit has a slit switch. When the switch parts slide to the switch point, the circuit has completed then the LED lights are on.

3. The Mechanism of the Swing of the Waving Pull Tub
Today’s main cast is the Waving Pull Tab Starter Set by Lawn Fawn. You can check their assembly movie on the Lawn Fawn site. I recommend that you check it first.
4. Assembly The waving mechanism and Circuit
I attached the switch parts on the backside of the pull tab of the waving system.
When the pull tab is pulled, the switch parts move to the point of the switching, then the LEDs turn on.
And the bear’s arms are waving to the upper.
I put the foam strip around the circuit panel. Then I slid the switch panel into the slit of the circuit panel.
I peeled off the paper of the foam strip. I set the circuit panel under the front panel.
5. Making the Scene
I set the bear’s body and the flowers on the heart. The sentiment parts of hugs is four layers.
OK. Finished!
When you pull the tab, the bear waves his arms to you sending his big hugs.
