Twinkle Lights Slimline Card

Hi friends – Bri Firth here!  Today I am sharing a card design perfect for a friend that needs a little extra motivation! This interactive card features Effects Stickers, Sticker Lights, Copper Tape, and Conductive Fabric Patches from Chibitronics. This card also features the Hello Friends Set by Scrappy Boy Stamps. For more details on this starry night creation keep reading below!

First, I used Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to create the night sky blend. Next, I used white splatter paint to look like tiny little stars off in the distance. Once the background was dry, I die cut the star shape using the outline die from the Hello Friends Set. I also used the star image with pigment black ink to stamp onto the vellum attached behind the shaped openings.

I traced the star openings onto black cardstock the same size as the card front, 3.5″ x 8.5″ and finished building the circuit. In the photo below, you can see the circuit I created for this slimline light up card. I used Yellow Sticker Lights and Twinkle Effect Sticker for this card.

To finish decorating the card front, I used two pieces of green scrap cardstock and the Grassy Hillside Border die from Lawn Fawn to create the field for the little girl to sit down in the tall grass with her teddy bear.

The “reach for the stars” sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto dark blue cardstock to coordinate with the night sky background. Finally, I added yellow sequins for embellishment in the blank spaces on the card.

I love how bright the yellow stars are shining! For more details on the Effects Stickers check out this tutorial page.
